Joy Kahn 0:02
Welcome back to Integrated Awakening. We're so grateful to be here with you
Matt Kahn 0:06
today. We want to talk about abundance and manifestation, but perhaps in a way that is a little more grounded than what we often hear in spiritual spaces,
Joy Kahn 0:15
because most conversations about abundance begin in a very familiar place. Raise your vibration, get into gratitude, feel abundant now, become magnetic, align your frequency. Then the universe will provide.
Matt Kahn 0:30
And we want to begin by saying that there is truth in some of that. Our state matters, gratitude matters, receptivity matters. The way we relate to life absolutely shapes what we notice, what we allow, and what we are available to receive,
Speaker 1 0:46
but when that becomes the whole conversation, it can also become a trap,
Matt Kahn 0:50
especially for sensitive, sincere, spiritually devoted people who are always trying so hard to do the inner work,
Speaker 1 0:57
because suddenly, if abundance is not flowing, the conclusion becomes maybe I am not high vibe enough, maybe I'm not grateful enough, maybe I'm not regulating enough, maybe I still have too much fear, maybe have not healed enough to receive,
Matt Kahn 1:15
and then manifestation becomes one more place where a healer, coach, or leader feels like they're failing,
Speaker 1 1:21
so today we want to offer a different reframe, not a rejection of energy, not a dismissal of gratitude, but a more mature and grounded way to understand abundance,
Matt Kahn 1:32
and the reframe is this: abundance is not a prize for being perfectly high vibe,
Speaker 1 1:39
abundance is an amplifier of focused direction
Matt Kahn 1:43
wherever our attention consistently goes, something begins to grow.
Speaker 1 1:48
If our best time, energy, and focus go toward our business, then our business has a chance to build momentum. If our best attention goes towards a relationship, then intimacy, repair, trust, and shared life have a chance to deepen
Matt Kahn 2:03
if our attention goes towards our health, our skills, our creative work, our spiritual practice, or the mission we're here to serve. Something begins to gather there, not instantly, not magically, in the way the personality often wants, but over time, through repetition, devotion, and direction,
Speaker 1 2:22
and the same is true in the other direction. If most of our attention goes goes towards our phone, distraction, avoidance, comparison, crisis, or the constant search for the next emotional high, then those patterns begin to grow too.
Matt Kahn 2:38
This is not a punishment, it's the law of focus.
Speaker 1 2:42
What we repeatedly feed with our time and attention begins to compound,
Matt Kahn 2:47
and this takes abundance out of magical thinking and places it back in the sacredness of cause and effect.
Speaker 1 2:53
Because sometimes when people say abundance is not flowing, the deeper question is where has your focus actually been going,
Matt Kahn 3:02
not where do you hope it's going, not where do you say it's going, not where do you wish it were going, but where is it going, as revealed by your calendar, your habits, your conversations, your spending, your phone, your follow through, and your nervous system.
Speaker 1 3:20
That question can be confronting, but it can also be incredibly freeing,
Matt Kahn 3:25
because if abundance is not dependent on achieving a perfect spiritual state, then you don't have to wait until you are perfectly regulated, perfectly inspired, or perfectly healed before you begin taking responsible action.
Speaker 1 3:38
You can be human and still be responsible.
Matt Kahn 3:41
You can be tender and still be focused.
Speaker 1 3:43
You can be learning and still be building.
Matt Kahn 3:46
You can have fear present and still choose the next right step.
Speaker 1 3:50
One of the ways manifestation teachings can backfire is by making people believe they have to feel a certain way before they're allowed to move.
Matt Kahn 3:58
They think, once I am more aligned, I will take action. Once I'm more confident, I will build the offer. Once I feel clearer, I will invite the client. Once I am in the perfect state, then I will show up.
Speaker 1 4:11
But what if waiting for the perfect state is sometimes just another form of avoidance?
Matt Kahn 4:16
What if the nervous system is using spiritual language to delay responsibility?
Speaker 1 4:21
That may sound strong, but we say it with love, because we have seen so many gifted practitioners wait for the feeling of readiness, while their gifts remain under expressed, under supported, and unavailable to the people they're here to serve.
Matt Kahn 4:36
In the meantime, they keep trying to fix their state,
Speaker 1 4:40
they keep trying to become more magnetic,
Matt Kahn 4:42
they keep trying to clear one more block,
Speaker 1 4:45
they keep trying to access one more activation,
Matt Kahn 4:48
but sometimes the next level of abundance is not waiting for another activation, sometimes it is waiting for a calendar that tells the truth,
Speaker 1 4:56
sometimes it's waiting for a clearer process,
Matt Kahn 4:59
sometimes. Sometimes it is waiting for a boundary,
Speaker 1 5:01
sometimes it's waiting for follow through,
Matt Kahn 5:04
sometimes it's waiting for you to stop abandoning the path every time the path becomes ordinary.
Speaker 1 5:10
This brings us to one of the most important distinctions in this conversation. Time is one of your primary forms of abundance.
Matt Kahn 5:17
How you spend your time is how you spend your abundance,
Speaker 1 5:20
and for many of us, the calendar is the first financial statement,
Matt Kahn 5:25
long before the bank balance changes. The calendar is already showing what we are truly investing in.
Speaker 1 5:30
If we say we want a thriving healing practice, but our time is not being directed toward serving, practicing, refining our methodology, communicating our value, following up, building trust, and developing the structures that support a business that abundance may not be blocked by the universe.
Matt Kahn 5:49
It may simply have nowhere consistent together.
Speaker 1 5:52
And again, this is not a shame statement, it is freedom statement.
Matt Kahn 5:56
Because if we can see where our attention is going, we can redirect it
Speaker 1 6:01
if we can see where our time is leaking, we can reclaim it
Matt Kahn 6:04
if we can see where we are calling something alignment when it's actually avoidance, we can come back into integrity.
Speaker 1 6:12
This is true in business, it's true in relationships, it's true in parenting, it's true in health, and it's true in spiritual growth.
Matt Kahn 6:20
A relationship deepens through repeated time repair presence and shared devotion.
Speaker 1 6:26
A business grows through repeated value creation, communication, service delivery, and refinement. A
Matt Kahn 6:32
skill develops through repeated practice.
Speaker 1 6:35
A child matures when they're allowed to feel the relationship between choices and consequences
Matt Kahn 6:41
a spiritual path becomes embodied when it moves from insight into lived action.
Speaker 1 6:46
This is abundance as stewardship, not fantasy.
Matt Kahn 6:51
And here is where the conversation gets even more honest. Momentum is often the most boring part of transformation.
Speaker 1 6:58
We tend to love the beginning, the beginning of a project, the beginning of a business, the beginning of a relationship, the first few days of a new practice, the first wave of an insight, and the first spark of an idea. The
Matt Kahn 7:10
beginning is exciting because it's full of possibility,
Speaker 1 7:13
but abundance rarely matures in the beginning,
Matt Kahn 7:16
it matures in the middle,
Speaker 1 7:18
it matures after the novelty is gone,
Matt Kahn 7:21
it matures when the work becomes repetitive.
Speaker 1 7:24
It matures when you are not inspired, but you still show up.
Matt Kahn 7:27
It matures when you keep refining the offer, keep tending the relationship, keep practicing the skill, keep tracking the numbers, keep having the honest conversation, keep delivering the work with care.
Speaker 1 7:39
And this is where many people abandon the very momentum they have been praying for.
Matt Kahn 7:44
They mistake boredom for misalignment,
Speaker 1 7:47
they mistake repetition for stagnation,
Matt Kahn 7:49
they mistake the absence of novelty for the absence of magic.
Speaker 1 7:53
But often the magic has not disappeared. It has simply become discipline,
Matt Kahn 7:58
and discipline, when it's connected to love is not punishment, it is devotion with a schedule
Speaker 1 8:05
that is such an important distinction for healers and coaches, because many practitioners are beautifully inspired, deeply intuitive, and profoundly caring, but when the path becomes repetitive, or when the business requires structure, they can start to wonder if they have lost the inspiration,
Matt Kahn 8:21
but the question may not be, Am I still inspired?
Speaker 1 8:24
The question may be, Am I willing to stay long enough for this to become real.
Matt Kahn 8:30
We also want to name something important. Abundance is not always fair.
Speaker 1 8:35
People do not all begin from the same place. Some people inherit financial momentum, some inherit relational momentum, some inherit education, social capital, stable families, useful networks, or the kind of early support that makes life easier to build.
Matt Kahn 8:52
Others inherit scarcity, chaos, trauma, instability, debt, or environments where survival required so much energy that long-term creation felt impossible.
Speaker 1 9:04
So, when we talk about focus and responsibility, we're not pretending that everyone starts with the same resources.
Matt Kahn 9:11
We're not bypassing the reality that some people begin with more momentum than others.
Speaker 1 9:15
We are saying this: if you did not inherit momentum, you can still begin creating it.
Matt Kahn 9:21
It may require more focused effort, it may require more support, it may require more consistency over time, it may require the humility to build one domain of momentum first, and then let that momentum support other areas of life.
Speaker 1 9:37
Financial momentum can help support health. Relational momentum can support business. Spiritual momentum can support emotional resilience. Business momentum can create more choice, more space, and more capacity to serve.
Matt Kahn 9:52
But something has to become the first place where you stop scattering your attention and begin building trust with reality.
Speaker 1 9:59
That is the question. Question, we would invite you to ask, Where am I willing to become boringly consistent long enough for abundance to gather,
Matt Kahn 10:09
and all of this brings us to perhaps the deepest reframe of today's conversation.
Speaker 1 10:14
Abundance is not only about what you can call in, it's about what you can steward.
Matt Kahn 10:20
Can you steward the clients you are asking for?
Speaker 1 10:22
Can you steward the money you desire?
Matt Kahn 10:25
Can you steward the visibility you say you want?
Speaker 1 10:28
Can you steward the responsibility of being trusted by another person's heart, nervous system, transformation, or a life direction?
Matt Kahn 10:36
Can you steward your time well enough for your gifts to become sustainable?
Speaker 1 10:40
Can you steward your boundaries well enough that your compassion does not become rescuing?
Matt Kahn 10:46
Can you steward your energy well enough that your service does not become self abandonment?
Speaker 1 10:52
This is where manifestation becomes mature.
Matt Kahn 10:56
Is not only about attracting more, it's about becoming the kind of person, practitioner, leader, parent, partner, and business owner who can hold what arrives with integrity,
Speaker 1 11:06
because without stewardship, even extraordinary opportunities can become overwhelming.
Matt Kahn 11:12
A client load can become burnout,
Speaker 1 11:14
visibility can become performance,
Matt Kahn 11:16
money can become pressure,
Speaker 1 11:18
growth can become collapse,
Matt Kahn 11:20
but with stewardship, even modest beginnings can become meaningful over time.
Speaker 1 11:24
Ordinary opportunities can become extraordinary because they are tended with presence, responsibility, and consistency.
Matt Kahn 11:33
This is one of the reasons we care so deeply about structure inside the Healer's Code Academy,
Speaker 1 11:37
because healers and coaches do not only need inspiration, they need frameworks,
Matt Kahn 11:42
they need ethical boundaries,
Speaker 1 11:43
they need client processes,
Matt Kahn 11:44
they need business foundations,
Speaker 1 11:46
they need a way to hold transformation without over giving, rescuing, performing, or waiting for the perfect energy state before they can take the next responsible step.
Matt Kahn 11:56
A gift must be trained,
Speaker 1 11:57
and a calling must be structured,
Matt Kahn 11:59
and abundance must be stewarded. The
Speaker 1 12:01
Healer's Code Academy is a training ground for practitioners who are ready to move beyond inspiration into embodied skill, grounded methodology, ethical service, and sustainable practice building,
Matt Kahn 12:13
not because spirituality is not real,
Speaker 1 12:15
but because spirituality becomes more real when it can be lived,
Matt Kahn 12:19
when it can be practiced,
Speaker 1 12:21
when it can be delivered with clarity,
Matt Kahn 12:23
when it can support a client without making the client dependent,
Speaker 1 12:27
when it can build a business without requiring the practitioner to abandon their nervous system,
Matt Kahn 12:31
when it can turn a calling into a life of service that is actually sustainable.
Speaker 1 12:36
So, as we close today, we invite you to sit with a few questions.
Matt Kahn 12:39
Where is your focus actually going?
Speaker 1 12:42
How are you spending your time, and what is that time currently growing?
Matt Kahn 12:46
Where have you been waiting for the perfect state before taking the next responsible step?
Speaker 1 12:51
Where have you mistaken boredom for misalignment when life may have simply been inviting you into the maturity of momentum,
Matt Kahn 12:58
and perhaps most importantly, what are you asking to receive that you're also being asked to learn how to steward?
Speaker 1 13:05
If you're a healer, coach, or practitioner who feels the call to serve, but you know your gifts need more structure, support, and grounded training in order to become sustainable. This is part of why we created the Healers Code Academy.
Matt Kahn 13:17
The Academy is for those who are ready to stop waiting for perfect inspiration, and begin building the framework their calling requires.
Speaker 1 13:25
Because abundance is not only what you call in,
Matt Kahn 13:28
it's what you focus on,
Speaker 1 13:30
it's what you make time for,
Matt Kahn 13:31
it's what you stay with,
Speaker 1 13:33
it's what you take responsibility for,
Matt Kahn 13:35
it's what you learn to steward with love.
Speaker 1 13:38
