This Isn’t What Life Was Meant to Feel Like...
Plus, Your Energy Update for the Week of January 5 - 11, 2026.

Dear Beloved Friend,
We believe we are living in a very specific moment in human history.
Not one that will be marked only by headlines or technologies, but by something far subtler and far more personal. A moment when many people can feel—often without words—that something essential has gone missing.
It doesn’t feel like humanity is lost in the way we often say. It feels disoriented—spiritually homesick while still functioning, productive while inwardly starving. Across cultures and generations, people can sense that something fundamental has been hidden, diluted, or replaced: achievement instead of meaning, consumption instead of communion, ideology instead of wisdom.
Beneath the noise of the world, there is a collective grief rising to the surface.
Grief for betrayed trust.
Grief for empty promises.
Grief for a world that was supposed to feel more alive than this.
And beneath that grief, there is a quiet remembering:
This isn’t what life was meant to feel like.
We see it in the exhaustion with war, poverty, and endless striving.
We see it in the fatigue of chasing solutions that never quite touch the root.
We see it in the deep yearning for something real.
History shows us that when societies reach moments like this, people don’t actually ask for more answers. They begin searching for orientation. They want to feel themselves again. They want to trust their own knowing—without being told who to fear, follow, or fight.
This moment doesn’t seem to be asking for louder voices or tighter systems.
It is asking for ground.
For truth that doesn’t require an enemy.
For spirituality that doesn’t bypass pain.
For meaning that doesn’t depend on collapse or fantasy.
Our own teaching has been evolving in response to this moment. Not because we have something new to prove or promote, but because we are learning how to stand more fully with you in what is real. Not trying to save anyone from this moment—but honoring it as a doorway humanity has crossed many times before.
If there is one intention guiding us now, it is this:
To help people remember what is real—
without asking them to abandon their humanity to do it.
You don’t need to be fixed.
You don’t need to escape.
You don’t need to become someone else.
You are not broken—you are remembering.
And history often turns not through force or revolution, but through small groups of people who choose to stand together in truth, steadiness, and care.
We believe this is one of those moments.
With love and steadiness,
Matt and Joy Kahn
This is a week guided by trust rather than force.
