We Just Moved! (and everything feels different)

Dear Beloved Friend,

The past few weeks have brought big change for us. We packed up our lives, the puppies, and our favorite mugs, and moved to Austin while we work on a project that’s been calling us forward.

It’s beautiful here and also new in every way. New rhythms. New spaces. New air. Even the sound of the morning feels different.

What we’re noticing is how easy it is to confuse what’s familiar with what’s safe. The mind loves routine (it calls it comfort) but sometimes comfort quietly becomes a cage.

Change is rarely convenient. It stretches us. It asks us to trust what we can’t yet name. It reorders our nervous systems, our plans, our pets, and our preferences. And somehow, through all that messiness, we begin to remember who we really are.

If you’ve been navigating your own version of newness...a shift in work, relationships, purpose, or energy, may you find comfort in knowing we’re walking through it too.

Speaking of change…
If you haven’t yet watched our October Energy Update, it’s a beautiful exploration of what this month is helping all of us release and reimagine.

And for those who feel called to explore how transformation extends beyond our personal lives into our collective evolution, something special is happening on Saturday, October 11th.

We’ll be part of The Wise AI Summit hosted by The Shift Network, a free online event exploring how humanity can co-create a conscious, values-based relationship with Artificial Intelligence, one that supports awakening rather than replacing it.

Whether you’re a spiritual seeker, innovator, or simply someone sensing the magnitude of this moment, you’ll discover new ways AI can expand awareness, deepen wisdom, and even act as a bridge to unseen realms.

With love (and from our new little corner of Austin),

Matt & Joy

Have you fallen into this trap?
One of the most common ways the spiritual ego hides is behind a single phrase: "I shouldn't have to want." Many sensitive, deeply spiritual people have been taught that wanting things is an attachment. We learn to transcend desire, to be okay with whatever happens, and to view wanting as a sign that we are not fully surrendered. But there is a profound difference between surrendering to the flo...
Why we retreat when we actually crave connection
There is a painful, quiet dance that many sensitive people do: we crave deep, soul-nourishing connection, but we retreat into isolation because we are exhausted by the thought of managing other people's expectations. When we look closely at our patterns, it is very common to find that what we call "self-care" is actually a defense mechanism. We meet someone new, we feel that beautiful spark of ...
The Hidden Source of our Deepest Family Frustration
There is a quiet, profound dynamic that plays out in almost every family system, yet it is rarely spoken about until we are deep into our own healing journey. It is this: The parent we are most frustrated with is usually not the parent where the problem originated. When we look back at our childhoods, it is very common to feel massive, unresolved frustration toward the parent who was always the...
